The lockers on the ground floor of the N1 were installed in the summer of 2008 and have been managed by the Fachschaft ever since. They are financed with money from StudiTUM, but they belong to the TUM.
A total of 292 lockers are available for all students (of every faculty) of the TUM. You can choose between 4 different sizes (available in different quantities):

The lockers are assigned to students for one semester only. Assignment usually takes place at the same time as the regular lecture notes sales events during the second or third week of lectures. In order to rent a locker, you need to pay a deposit of 20€ and buy a lock for 5€. You can keep the lock and continue using it in the next semester. In addition, you should bring your StudentCard and an official ID (ID card, driver's license, etc.) so that we can verify your identity and in which study course you are. The latter is needed in order to be able to identify you in case we need to contact you concerning your locker, since we cannot use your matriculation number for privacy reasons.
You can use your locker until the first day of the next lecture period, if you don't return it earlier than that. Please note that you must have cleaned out your locker by that date, as we re-attribute the lockers each semester!
Of course, you can prolong the locker rental each semester if you wish to (see further below for more details).
If you have never rented a locker yet, calculate an extra 5 minutes for the registration procedure that consists of filling out a short form. We need the information in order to manage the lockers efficiently.
The lockers have to be properly emptied and cleaned before the lecture start every semester. The deposit can be picked up during the assignment times of the new semester upon showing the rental receipt. Alternatively, you can drop by on that date to prolong your locker rental contract.
As of winter semester 2021/22, the lockers have to be empty by November 10th, 2021!
If you want to keep your locker in the next semester, you still have to empty it and keep it open until the next appointment dates. We check all lockers in the first week of lectures and open and empty any that are still locked.
You do not need to bring money to the next appointment date since you own the lock and we will re-book your deposit to the new semester. However, you still need to bring your student card and an official ID card so that we can check if you are still entitled for a locker.
Since we don't make reservations for lockers, we cannot guarantee that you can continue using the same locker as before. Being at the faculty student council office early can be helpful, since you can choose any locker as long as it is still free (including your old one!).
