Because of the coronavirus pandemic we are unfortunately unable to continue providing the entirety of our services. Especially in order to minimise the risk of infection, we will completely suspend any personal contact with students and other visitors starting Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate until when this measure will be in force. We will of course inform you of any changes if there are any. You can find more information on the official TUM homepage.
Below you will find a more detailed breakdown of how our services are affected by the suspension of service:
Counselling and advice
Due to the current pandemic situation our office will stay closed for the public, so we will not be able to answer your questions in person. However, you can still contact us via e-mail or on the phone (089/289-22998).
Thesis printing is still possible. Due to the current infection rates and lockdown, thesis pickup will not be possible anymore. But we will send the thesis directly to your supervisor or to any german address if you wish to. You can click here for further information!
Thesis binding is possible on mondays and wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm. Please announce yourself by phone at 089/289-22998.
At this moment the reopening of our e-lab is still not possible, since the realisation of necessary hygiene regulations require too high personnel expenses. The access via StudentCards will remain blocked for all students. The people in charge will continue checking if and how a reopening will be feasible.
We are currently developing concepts for locker rentals in the winter semester 2020/21. Further information will follow soon.
All current renters will receive an e-mail in time, containing all dates and deadlines. Until then we will not evict any lockers. Deposits cannot be picked up during the ongoing lockdown measures.
Any other rental services are suspended until further notice as well.
Until further notice, the on-site sale will be discontinued in the comming summer semester term. Starting from now, lecture notes can be ordered using our online shop (shop.fs.ei.tum.de), we will send them to you via package delivery. For more details, visit the lecture notes sales information page.
For chair members: We will still take care of the lecture notes that you send us. If you wish that we send you the printed example lecture notes by post, please contact us.
